Thanks to EVERYONE who made it out to the show this weekend. We fought the elements, and we truly appreciate everyone who did come out.

We would also like to thank ALL of our sponsors, vendors, volunteers and friends & family.

We got through the card of events just in time, some great horses and riders! As we were breaking down the show the rain came!

The oldest living son of Secretariat, a chestnut gelding named Torbay, will be competing this Sunday at the Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show!

Hunter / Jumper Show Registration Update

Thanks so much for the enthusiastic response for our first show – our Hunter classes have reached their limits and we CANNOT accept any more entries. PLEASE do not expect to show Sunday in the Hunters if you haven’t pre-entered! Start time is 8:00 am.

We really appreciate all the support we have received!!

Jumper classes are still open with a revised class list and start time – we have given Jumpers their own ring starting at 10:00 am.

Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show Staff and Sponsor Update

With only a few days left, we have updated the schedule, staff and sponsorship information pages! Be aware of the new start times.

8:00 am SHARP for Hunters and 10:00 am for Jumpers.

We have also added an additional photographer in Carly Abbott to photograph the Jumpers division.

IMPORTANT UPDATE, ADDED RING & JUMPER CLASSES, START TIMES:

IMPORTANT UPDATE, ADDED RING & JUMPER CLASSES, START TIMES: with the large number of hunters (several sections are full now –we have added a SECOND RING for our Jumper Classes–this means we will be able to add a Power and Speed Class to each section, and we will have 2 Gambler’s Choice Classes, a Low and a High–The High Gamblers’s Choice will keep the $1500 Prize Money, and we will have prize money for the Low Gambler’s Choice.

Hunters will now start at 8 am (Leadline) and the first Jumper in the ring at 10 am! Thanks to everyone who has entered, and for your understanding with these changes!

So far 75 thoroughbreds have been entered for the first ever “Furlongs to Fences: Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show.”

This exciting show is filling up fast! If you have not registered yet, please make sure that you do-so to ensure that your horse can compete. Did you know that some of the thoroughbreds that have entered did not win, some did not even race. We have one horse who broke his maiden by 11 lengths, Zayat owned and Zito trained. We have a horse who ran over jumps, here and in Europe (he fell a few times too) and a couple of horses who plied their trade in Canada (Northlands Park.) One horse ran 55 times (he only won 2), another ran 54 times and ran in the cheapest race of all the horses with PPs, claiming $2,500. Some been ridden by jockeys such as: Ramon Dominguez, Edgar Prado, Tony McCoy, Kent Desormeaux, John Velazquez and Kendra Taylor. Kendra will also be helping out with Saturday’s trail ride, at 11 am!
